
The opening game for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers were off to a good start with Ghana’s Black Stars winning 3-0 in their match against Madagascar yesterday, June 1. All three goals were scored in the second half by Kudus Mohammed, Felix Afena-Gyan and Osman Bukari, securing them an early Group E lead. Angola is currently second place in the group, with a 2-1 win over Central African Republic.
Group E will again face-off against each other this Sunday with the Black Stars playing against Central African Republic and Angola against Madagascar all in pursuit of the playoffs into the 2023 AFCON to be held in Ivory Coast. Fixtures for the next matches along with the other teams to play that day are shown below:
