A Letter to Covid-19

Dear Covid-19,

Let me say this to you

Sure I have never met you

Desire not to even conceive of you

Only desiring to take appropriate measures

Your emergence unto this earth

Here was on two sides of birth Predictability and unpredictability

Many never knew you\’d be treating them this way

See how unfair And unfriendly you\’re

To the human race and other creatures

It all started like a joke in the diaspora

Now you\’re every where

Attracting people here and there

Too invisible to both the richer and poorer

Most especially the vulnerable and elderly

Well I do not dispute to the fact

That my own vulnerability and inability to following instructions might lead me to the gate of regret

A lot have claimed to have been blinded by your appearance

In headache, cough and dyspnoea

All in alliance to our human contact, contaminated objects and air transmission

I come to you on this day

We come to you today

Everybody comes to you

In the here and now

No, I mean both the human race and other creatures

Crying crying and crying aloud

Open wide your ears

That whatever I communicate aloud to you may reach you there

For there\’s no one rather than you

I am ready for you Covid-19

Who became a pandemic and a lovely friend to CoronaVirus

And an enemy to the human race and other creatures

I am ready for you Covid-19

In my hand washing

In my mobile pocket sanitizer

In my face protective hat

In my well protective use of mask

And in my discipline to avoid contact with my own.
