The African-Caribbean community in Manchester attending the opening ceremony of the \”Parliament of Ghost\” has urged Ghana\’s President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to visit the exhibition at Whitworth Gallery in Manchester and use it to engage Africans in the diaspora ahead of the Year of Return in Ghana. Designed by internationally-acclaimed Ghanaian artist Ibrahim Mahama, the \”Parliament of Ghost\” is an imitation of Ghana\’s parliamentary chamber, made out from plastic waste.
