I am African

I am African, 

On whose coast you find hope, 

A land beautified by nature and 

Occupied by people that are well nurtured. 

I am African, 

In whose ground you find gold, 

Even diamond, 

And many other precious jewels. 

I am African, 

I watch the sun rise every morning 

And enjoy it setting on my beautiful black skin. 

I have a strong will, 

I am African, 

I’m very ambitious, 

I’m African, 

I’m beautiful and intelligent, 

I am African and proud.
